Zoom Zoom Zoom

Zoom Advanced Power is an in-office bleaching procedure that we perform on several of our patients with wonderful results. Depending on how discolored the teeth are, will determine how white the teeth will become. Everyone is different. Everyone is happy with the end result though.

Some things to keep in mind when we bleach your teeth....

             1. If you have previous dental work on the anterior teeth, they will NOT whiten. Bleaching is achieved on natural tooth structure only.

             2. If you have not bleached before, you might want to consider pre-bleaching your teeth. This usually consists of either wearing take home trays for a few days, or perhaps Crest White Strips (Professional Strength not the drug store variety). This allows the tubules in the teeth to open and results in a whiter smile at the Zoom visit. This makes your whitening last longer also.

             3. Consider a professional toothpaste after zoom that will maintain the whiteness in the months to follow. This is also available at the office and is called Opalescence. I love this stuff.

             4. Bleaching Never lasts forever. The natural color of the tooth always wants to come through eventually because it comes from the nerve. So, the best we can do is keep putting off that color by doing touch-ups. Again, this is with the strips or the take home kit or the toothpaste or any combination of the above. It does not necessarily mean you need to Zoom every two weeks. Most people tell me that they feel it last approx. 12-18 months on avg. The foods you eat and the beverages too, all determine how long you stay white.

             5. Zoom does not typically cause sensitivity but if you are predisposed to very sensitive teeth then consider brushing with Sensodyne one week prior to Zoom.

             6. We request a consult visit before Zoom can be done to determine if you are a suitable candidate for the procedure.

             7. Please consider a cleaning before you ZOOM, ZOOM, ZOOM. The bleaching works so much better if there is no plaque or calculus in the way. We would be happy to do one for you here if you wish.

Zoom is currently on promotion for $299 for the full mouth, down from the regular price of $500/arch. It’s a great deal
